How to Create a Special Snack Layered with Red and White Rice

This rice layer cake was a favorite snack when I was a child. Its soft texture and good taste make the taste buds won't stop shaking. Ingredients :
  • 1600 ml grated coconut milk 2 coconuts
  • 4 pandan leaves (cake fragrance)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 450 grams of rice flour
  • 150 grams of starch
  • 500 grams of sugarpink food coloring
  • (can be in other colorsaccording to taste)
How to Make Red and White Rice Layer Cake:
  • Bring the coconut milk, pandan leaves, and salt to a boil while stirring until smooth. Remove then strain. Mix rice flour, starch and sugar. Pour the warm coconut milk gradually while continuing to knead. Let the mixture sit for 30 minutes.
  • Divide the mixture into 2 parts. One shard is colored with pink dye and the rest is left white.
  • Heat a 22x22cm tin with cooking oil and cover it with plastic. Pour two tablespoons of white mixed vegetables. Steam for 5 minutes, coat with a spoonful of pink mixed greens, steam for another 5 minutes.
  • Do this layering of good snacks until the mixture runs out and finally steam again for 45 minutes until cooked.
